Should be too much extra really. What's probably gone is one way clutch, still drivable locking in 1st to take off then shifting up through gears. Compare to getting a unit from ashcrofts. When the dollar was more favourable I got a new upgraded 4hp24, torque converter, tfr rebuild kit and new sleeved transfer housing for sub $5000 landed. Ok there's still fitting but it's a much better box than anyone will ever build here.

Hi everyone, quick update. Serviced the auto (no metal bits in it at all, relief...) and had a great weekend in the Vic High Country without any issues. Tracks had been recently graded and it was an interesting experience driving on these wet tracks.
