radius arm modification.
I have lurked around this board for a long while and find that google directs me here, often, when researching info on my rover. signed up and have a couple questions.
so, I am doing some suspension modifications to my '00 d2. currently planning to 4 link the rear and have been undecided on the front. I do not want to link it, for on road handling reasons. so my current idea is to fab. up longer arms for the front. I plan to make a new bracket for the passenger side and bring the mounting points behind the axle tube. the other arm will just be lengthened...kind of like the superior $uperflex arms premise, but long.
my question is about the actual brackets. I do not think superflex has a d2 offering, so I can not really ask about that. I do know that les richmond offers the white tiger castor correction brackets. are any of you guys fitted with them? have you had issues...vibration,braking, etc?
I can not find much, in the way of reviews for them. I am just trying to sort out any and all weak points in my design.
also, do you guys have a source for slotted bushings for the radius arms? we only have them for d1, classics, and defenders. that is another reason for the modifications. I can fit it for decent bushes.
thanks again, Dusty

I have the LRA White Tiger castor correction plates installed and no issues with them after almost two years now.

You can get Superpro Castor corrected bushes, either 2° or 3° and these are what I use.
Also a number of suppliers do castor corrected arms, RTE Fab, QT etc.
I have not seen how the castor plates from Les Richmond work so cannot comment on them.

thank you. I was thinking that I could retain the axle mounting points with the brackets. I am moving the frame mounts further to the rear to accept longer arms. It is probably wishful thinking and would be easier to make new mounting points for the axle, also.
