Matte Black for my Bonnet if I get round to it.

    It's so Camel Trophy!!!

Except when new Range Rovers arrived in the NT in the 70s my dad reckoned it made them overheat. For some reason they had Matte Black Bonnets!

    Anyway.....?

You tear off all the internal panels, and get any kind of stick or elongated object that has the desired end shape and you lever off an internal edge of the panel and rub the dent, working from the outside to the inside.

    Works great.

We used audio Boom Poles, tripod legs, lighting gear, sticks, your fist.... we even tried a cheese burger once that has sat on the dash of a Tarago from Brisbane to Tennantt Creek, NT!

Sure it wasn't just range rover V8s running in NT heat?
My D2 has the same colour, there's a few tiny spits of clear coat that have been eaten off just at the top of the windscreen, been there since before I bought it.
Needs a polish now that I think about it....

Before you polish try that Mothers California gold and instant detail.

    It looks really amazing.

I'm going to star augmenting the flying fox diet with black piant.

If the clear coat is delaminating and starting to craze, your only alternative is a full respray. Nothing else will work. Most cars from the 90's have delaminating clear coat unless they have been kept under cover there entire lives (or resprayed).

    Here you go...
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcZRj509Ir8]How to use a clay bar on your car - YouTube[/ame]

You can get kits including the lubricant (soapy water works well too) at any of the Auto stores...
Just be careful if you decide to do it... dont use ANY pressure... and only use it in straight lines... Clay can and will marr the paint... it is really only used for decontamination prior to polishing...
