From my research last year the P2 is basically the same as the P3 but without some of the bells and whistles (eg fancy display).

Aside of a 30 amp auto reset fuse and cable no extra hardware was required to fit it to my D2a. D3 and later is a different kettle of fish tho.

    Cheers

I got a redarc one fitted to tow our Jayco swan outback and located it in two of the spare modules next to the DAC buttons. Mainly as I'm a big bloke and there's no room in the drivers area as it is to put a large brake controller anywhere.

    Smile And me..

P3 on 03 D2a td5 for coming up 5 years with no problems at all.

Make sure brake feed cable is of adequate gauge so minimizing voltage drop across its length.

#3 son had a Redarc unit. Adequate, but only just, for single axle camper with 10" drum brakes.
