Temp gauge wont move until over 110 degrees or something. You wouldn't know unless you have an aftermarket gauge.

It will still go at speed. I was towing a trailer when mine started. I have my MADMAN gauge set very low at 95 degrees. The alarm very rarely goes off but when it does, there is usually a reason of heavy accelleration or something. On this occasion, I hadn't done anything, just running along at 100km/h on cruise control and it went in to alarm. I knew something was up but didn't know what. As soon as I slowed I found the rough running. I limped into mobile range and started a urgent help thread on here and it was with help from members on here, I found the problem. First thoughts were fuel pump but I was sure the miss was only on one cylinder. Not a good problem when it's night time in a strange outback country town.

    Happy Days.

What happened to your engine as a result of your ignorance, and what was the problem prior to knackery or knackerism.? Tell more.

Here was my road side enigne miss story.

Urgent road side advice needed, TD5 running rough.

Dulacca QLD at night time with a storm.

When I say "Strange" I mean unknown to me not that it was a weird place. I actually like most central QLD towns.

    Happy Days

Similar issue & no sign if an answer!

I'm having the same issue & after two trips to Rovertech in brisbane it is still not showing a fault code anywhere! I have replaced the diesel, the filter, tried diesel additive had the injectors. & loom tested & still no luck ! So frustrating!! It started after collecting it from having the diff lock switch replaced. & transfer lever refitted. Any ideas guys?

What do you mean "had the loom tested"? Which loom? Injector or Main.
There is a good write up somewhere on the main loom chafing causing all manner of faults, some logged others not.

CDL installation - was this cables only or the complete front extension from the transfer?
A ham fisted type could damage wiring around the CKP or disturb an already chafing loom.
