Well it finally happened.
Just as I was about to brag how my d2 td5 has had no problems , I was stuck at el questro on the GRR.
A fuel pipe has been worn through by the ( I presume) fuel pump loom.
The pipein question is high pressure and runs along the top of the tank to the Rh side, then turns 90degrees to run along the inside of the rh chassis rail to a quick release coupling about 10 cm along the chassis and it then goes through a bracket forward.
It is the only pipe in that area.
I think it is either the main fuel supply to the motor or the spill return pipe. The mechanic thinks it is the spill pipe as the engine runs perfectly, but I think he doesn't know discos.
RAVE doesn't show a diagram.
Anyone recognize a part number or can post a picture?
Regards Philip A

Not sure of P/N but it's usually the green one that goes and it can be purchased as a single unit.
Roger
The green one appears to be what Philip has the problem with. Do you know the part no. for that one, Roger?

Have a look here Fuel Line Repair Kit suit Discovery 2 TD5 - All Four X 4 Spares
In an emergency you can repair it with some 8mm fuel hose and hoseclamps.
Remove the rubber shroud with a stanley knife blade or similar, until you get to the hard plastic line then clamp the 8mm fuel hose to the plastic inner hose.
It will work. I have had to do this a couple of times when I have put sticks through the fuel lines.
