how will lpg help if there is no spark.I always carry a spare, they dont take long to replace,
At say 200,000/250,000?
Cheers
Ps. It and fuel pump are one of the only things that will stop a v8 d2 dead. In my case I have emergency lpg start though.

My CPS failed this week.
There's certainly no go without it.
My comment about LPG starting was in relation to fuel pump...
As for tail shafts, yes I agree that the unis are a known failure point. Generally though these days they are checked, or squarks are heard and it can be dealt with before letting go. I am talking about no start or no run issues. So I suppose we could add started motor...although mines a manual
I think though CPS should be changed. I am on borrowed time I suppose.
Cheers
Seems like there are plenty of us who are clocking up a lot more kms than normal servicing covers. I am all for proactive preventative maintenance and changing the CPS before it fails and keeping the old one as an emergency spare sounds like a smart idea.
Good to understand what the average kms people have seen the CPS fail.
Will a failed CPS show up as a fault on a Nanocom?. If so, what would the code be?.
Regards
Robbo
Not sure about the nanocom, but mine gave plenty of physical warning, it just needed someone to take notice![]()
as for a service item?
again, mine failed at only just over 100k,,
but nearly ten years service.
change it and forget about it![]()
