The other day the auto leckys blamed the batt, so when I was in Toowoomba today I got the supplier to check it and the batt load tests fine. he said after an hour run it should have more of a surface charge,, it read only 12.65 at the start of the test.
Another clue, because of the early start we had to do the 100 kays with headlights on, the Teckonsha showed 14.1 at dead cold running but 50 kays down the road it was around 13.5-6, turn headlights off and we go up to 13.85.

has to be the regulator,, right?

I got sick of having muppets replace regulators etc over time. Just not reliable. Anyway Bosch. I can look to see any numbers on unit if you want. I didn't know there were several ....I just gave Will my vehicle year. Has been in for 90,000 k now no probs,

    Cheers

My voltage on the Ultragauge dropped to 12.4 v yesterday. I did a test this morning and the battery was 12.4 sitting overnight, and started with high beams an AC fan running and interior lights on the alternator charging was 13.9 to 14 volts at idle (and not much more at 2000-2500 rpm - 14:10- 14:20) so suspect the battery is the issue. Even with the Super Cibie Oscars and high beams and interior fan at full noise the alternator was managing 13.8 volts.

    Cheers
