One should avoid archeology. Now my brain officially hurts. I stumbled across this humdinger of a thread when I came in to research fault "1.7 Air flow Circuit Logged Low" with a zero reading in the Nanocom.....😱
Apart from some rather tiresome points scoring it was fascinating. But I'm none the wiser re the mod, as the smokescreens were thick... My car is a 10P, MSB ECU, allegedly chipped, auto. The EGR is physically gone, but nothing was done in the ECU as I did it before I knew of things such as Nanocoms, and because I simply don't know how.
The car has pretty good power, but hesitates, or lags might be a better term, on takeoff. Sounds like a duff MAF? Rather than waste $50 for a sus fleabay maf, or find up to $500 source dependent for OEM, is this mod worth a try? SF is a member I have come to trust with all things D2 TD5. Was he wrong? Maybe I'll try the mod anyway. It's reversible.
