Do you still have the SLS compressor and valves etc in place?

If so I would buy 2 new air springs from the uk and reinstate SLS.

Second option ( less preferred ) would be airbags and coils from the us eg from trucksprings.com

SLS is reliable with new airbags that have an 8-10 year lifespan.

Why not fit a spring more suited to your needs - it would be cheaper

Kings, (amongst others) have quite a range.

As far as the bags go, I don't use them but I know that those who do, have avoided paying the "australia tax" (super-inflated local retail price), by purchasing from Truck Suspension, Bilstein Shocks, Firestone Air Bags, Timbren, Leaf Springs - TruckSpring.com.

I fitted Polyair bags to my D2 as i had the same issue, once i hooked up the camper and filled the back with stuff, it sagged too much for my liking.

i had firmer springs in my D1, which was great when towing but when unloaded the ride was stiff, i like the airbags as i am able to adjust the pressure to suit the load and works well for me.

if you can fit them yourself, there not too expensive.

Yes in answer the SLS System and compressor is still on the car,

Perhaps I should try it again with two new air springs?..

If I carried the old Coils with me on long trips and come into trouble would NRMA offer to assit swapping them at the roadside is the question?.......

Carry a spare air spring, easy enough to change out on the track

I've had Polyairs in for a lot of years now, maybe 10. They have been fantastic. Normally I just all of the air out and run them flat. Despite what gets said, I've had no wear problems doing this. When loaded to the max it retains ride height and it handles the load brilliantly.

Agree with slunnie I take air out when offroad. I use coilrites. I like their press fittings but much of a muchness overall. My brother devalves his when offroad....never had a pinched bag. Go Dobinson over King.

If i'm off-road loaded up can you keep some air in so just to keep the back end up a little?..

Im now really torn whether to a) Get the SLS back on and keep the coils b) Coilright/PolyAir option... Hhmmm tricky.
