    Disco TD5 with wrong main battery???

    Hi All,

    I have just found out my Disco is fitted with the incorrect battery.

    I have a N70ZZ (660 CCA) and it's suppose to have a 86Z MF (950 CCA). It is about 2 years old by the looks.

    Disco runs fine, starts great even when the alternator died for two days???

    Is it going to be a problem?

    No.
    The priming sequence for a filter change may challenge that batterys capacity.
    Wouldnt swap it out until it needs it,when you do look for a CAT battery,plenty of us run them in our D2s,they do a 1000CCA battery that fits.

    I have always used the N70ZZ in mine with no issues (since replacing the original battery).

    Is that the Cat 115-2422???

    It's amazing how the CCA for the same model battery can be SO variable.... Especially between makes? Makes you wonder the truth in advertising??????
