    Need Help with fault code

Hi all just been on a road trip to hell my spoilt Disco as crapped all over me first the trans cooler than the hard plastic hoses from the coolant bottle than when i try to accelerate with the van on the engine misses just like you were turning the key off and on than the dash lite up Mill + M+S connect the Nanocom comes up (21.6) problem driver demand all i can do is clear it and away we go again but one morning it was 1 deg and i could not touch the throttle at all or it would go to limp but i did find i could use the cruise control with no problem so i drove from Injune to Roma just with the cc didn't miss a beat by the time i reach Roma the throttle was fine again and since i have taken the caravan off it has not faulted so i am thinking is it the throttle pedal that has a problem it did play up once 12 mth ago with the van on but has not had a fault till this trip has any one had such problem thanks in advance.

Hi the driver demand fault code is definitely due to a throttle position sensor wrong input to ECM(it could be from a bad contact along the circuit but let's hope not cos then it could be a nightmare to find it), it's not uncommon for the TPS to fail... if you have tester put on live data(instrument mode) and see the tracks(accel way as on nanocom, you must get track(accel way) 1 + track(accel way) 2 = supply(5V +/-10%), track 1 must grow and track 2 fall as you push the throttle keeping the sum always within the supply range.(you can neglect track 3 as long 1 + 2 are ok)

First let me say, I know absolutely nothing about electrics BUT reading what you have said, I was wondering as it is only with the van connected that you have the problem, could it be in the van plug wireing?
