Sorry forgot to mention, this is on my V8 and ambient temp was 30c
Hi Folks,
I've had a few issues with my A/C after 2 weeks away, it seemed to have lost all its gas.
Had it looked at and it would appear the condenser is falling apart. 14 years and now appalling road conditions appear to be shaking the thing apart having many of the "fins" missing.
Anyway it has had the gas topped up and I drove home...15klms, took nearly an hour pot holes/washout etc on the main highway. I decided to run the rear A/C just for fun, and all worked really well.
I was stunned to find this when I got out of the car:
It was actually ice when I first saw it. Hope you can make it out.
Same on the other side and in the middle of the roof.
So how cold is the rear A/C meant to be?
Forgot to mention its on the V8 and the ambient temp was 30C.
Cheers Jerry.

Wow.
Mine's not that cold and it was regassed lastg year due to me damaging a pipe under the rear wheel arch.
I'm in Darwin so I guess our humiditiy get close to what you get there but I have never seen this on My Disco.
Happy Days
Looks to me you found your gas leak....
The rear thermostat must be crook as they should cut out at 0<4c.
I once had ice chips coming out of my BMW aircon in Malaysia.
Regards Philip A
