Some time ago my front brakes locked on tight while driving. Turned out it was a seized/stuck Right Hand (drivers side calliper). I replaced both front callipers & pads as a precaution, machined the discs, then bleed the brakes and all was good.

A mate had exactly the same problem a few days ago of his front brakes locking on tight. He went and brought all new callipers, pads, rotors etc from Kotara and we set about today to fix the problem...or so I thought !

After removing the brake line at the calliper we wrapped everything in rags awaiting for the rush of brake fluid to pour out...but nothing happened. In fact we only got a few drops from the brake line. The calliper was full of fluid as would be expected.

It was weird, as there were no brake leaks anywhere on all 4 brakes, and the master cylinder was full to the max level.

I did notice when I removed the cap off the master cylinder there appeared to be some sludge, and perhaps some watery looking contents in the fluid.

Any guesses why no fluid coming through the brake line???

Perhaps a blockage or defective master cylinder???
