Trying to fix a mates d2,surges when on full throttle. We've replaced injector loom, new wastegate modulator, bypassed modulator, bypassed MAF,checked it with a nanocom and it shows not getting enough air,no other faults.Turbo hose maybe? At a loss

Wouldn't the nanocom pick that up?

    Not always...

What do you mean when you say the nanocom shows it's not getting enough air? If it's got a code for airflow too low, would suggest MAF, or the wiring loom to the MAF is rubbed through around the head. You replaced the injector loom, has the oil made it to the ECU?

Normally surging at full load would be over boost, possibly stuck wastegate, or one that's been adjusted up too far...

Plenty of other possibles though, maybe a fuel pump that can't keep up with the demand? Even something like a blocked cat or EGR stuck open for a couple of outside shots, depends on the severity of the surging....

Nanocom shows low air flow at idle,MAF connected or not,at full throttle peaking at 280 something when should be over 400.Not sure what that is ,owner of nanocom says its way lowrer than his td5.
