    Wow!

Have done the starter, motor harness, sls, air bags, egr etc. and a radiator.
I seem to be way ahead as it now runs like a clock.

I paid $21,000.00 for an 2003 D2a TD5 HSE four years ago with 180,000km. For your reference, HSE is the top model specification. That was a fair price at the time as it had numerous extras like TD5Inside tune, ARB Sahara bar, rock sliders, two sets of wheels one with near new BFG Mud-Terrains KM2.

From what I have seen available now days the equivalent vehicle should be around $15,000.00. So no, I wouldn't be willing to pay $20,000.00 for an S model.

A friend of mine recently bought a D2a V8 SE for $12,000.00 with the full leather interior etc.
Another made bought a D2 TD5 SE for $9,500.00 almost two years ago.

There's deals out there on them.

I paid $12k for mine nearly 3 years ago.
212k, some service history, leaking auto cooler, needed new tyres.
About a month after I saw an 00 ES with the same KM, half the accessories I wanted and a full service history go for $12.5k which is what mine was originally at.

About a year ago, I was looking at a 2004 D2a Td5 HSE with ACE and 280,000km on the clock and a full service history from a dealer. The car yard (not Landrover) wanted $26,000. He dropped to $20,000. I was looking for $18,000. A few weeks later it sold. For some months I wished I had paid the $20,000 (until I bought the Perentie).

Paid $10,400 for a 2001 3 years ago with 118 on the clock.

    Definitely wouldn't be spending $20K on a D2. (Even though it's a TD5)

You can get a D3 of a few grand more now...

Too expensive in my book. I purchased mine two and a bit years ago. Late 03 HSE with full service history and 140,000 clicks.

    Paid $19k.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I bought my Td5 with bullbar, 2in lift and tyres for $5k.

And I've recently traded it for an 06 TDV6 D3 SE with a bullbar so that cost me under $20k. In short, Discovery 2s in my opinion are worth around $7.5k average maybe over $10-15k if it's tricked up properly.

    Ben.
