Then it wont comply with ADRs for brightness for when the view of the OE blinker is obstructed although I doubt that the cheapo LED lights currently fitted to my bar do either but they are better than the failed original ECB LED lights.

Simply replacing the standard bulb with a led bulb will get rid of the flashing trailer light on the dash. There are bulbs and then there are bulbs though, hence why I am looking at the different brands of led bulbs to see which has a similar brightness to the standard bulb. My D2 only has an indicator light in it and no running or fog lights. Should be a simple swap with a good quality led bulb hopefully. And it'll be much cheaper than whole light inserts

Yes, that is the cheap fix. But the quality and finish is lacking. As has been pointed out the proper ARB replacements have better electrical connections with water seals, the LEDs are angled correctly, there's no modifying an LED bulb to fit and they're the correct brightnesses.

Very true about there being bulbs & bulbs. I used LED bulbs for the indicators, while they got rid of the trailer lamp on the dash and were bright, they also turned the indicator into a washed out 'white orange' colour. They are now being used in my reverse lights, I would guess their colour temp would have been around 6500K.

The although the ARB LED lights have clear lens they give off a 'real' orange, forward facing, colour.

But surely there is an option for those, like myself, that are tight of arse? Those ARB jobbies are pretty dear IMHO.

What about these? LED Front Indicator Park Clear Amber Light Lamp ARB TJM Bullbar Pair 2X 5290343 | eBay

They are ADR compliant. And only $44!

    Or these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SET-OF-2-...3D161075837667

which would look better as I only really want indicators in my bar
