Mine is also spring all around. As you say you can purchase 7100's for approx. $1100 potentially plus import tax being over $1k. But all the research I do come up with the issue of mounting the front. 7100's are not a 'bolt in solution' and for some may be intimidating.

Also Fox appear to be more helpful than Bilstein so far.

I think that Kid might be running the not remote reservoir version. But thanks for the heads up.

I have always ben a big fan of Bilstein. So when the time came for my 50 mm lift, a set of Billy's to suit went in.

SLS on the rear and I am more than happy with the shocks.

Correct, they are not a 100% bolt in affair, however, there are bolt on bits to make the not bolt on bits, bolt on lol.

Bilstein are indeed hard to get info out of, they have no direct contact details, have to be contacted through an agent, this poses the problem of Chinese Whispers Syndrome, and the info you get back may not be 100% accurate.

I have just emailed e-shocks and ordered valving to suit my SLS rear, their replys arent terribly longwinded, but there is enough info on here and the rest of the web to just order vie part numbers and get what U need from them without to much input.

Got a reply back next day from E-Shocks too.

Just out of interest what was the stock height sls rear part number for the Billy's..

Well it depends if you want to spend $200 every 8_12 months or spend 484 ,get a good ride, are able to drive around corners without shooting off into to bush's because of that rough bit, get to keep your teeth and do all that for the next 100000kms? Remember,ya gets what ya pay for, very true about shocks.

Are you talking from your own personal experience with Terrafirmas, or is this from a friends of a friend who knows some ones brother? I have them on my own D2 and have customers that have done quite a bit of 4Wding and still have their teeth and haven't crashed into the bush.Neither have we had to replace them every 8 -12 months
If your going to be doing HARD CORE STUFF then yes better shocks are available.

There are better shocks full stop. TF are rubbish, there's a reason they're cheap

Yes there are better shocks, but the reason the TF are cheap is due to competition, the margins for retailers so slim now .
Where as Billies are so expensive due to Dealer price fixing. You'll find the same price from dealer to dealer, they are obligated to charge a high price and not discount the product.
