To answer that question we would need to know how large a person you are (i.e. do you have a big beer gut that might prohibit you from fitting)?

If it helps, I can fit under and do it without lifting the vehicle.

You could try mounting the kerb with 2 wheels, that'll give you some more clearance, but as said it depends on how big you are.

Use the money you save by DIY and buy the extra tooling. Then you have it for the next job.

Start with a set of heavy duty ramps.

Tooling is just a couple of spanners.

I'd be able to crawl under OK that's good news.

Perhaps best to do this job before the Christmas excess's in case I get stuck under the sill in January! ;-)

Yep. Easy job, however when you have it off slide the tailshaft back over the locating spiggot and check for up and down play.

When I last did mine the rubber bush inside the tailshaft was rooted. Athough it was not vibrating as such, it was amazing how much less NVH I had after repairing it.

I have since ditched the roto and gone with a conventional uni joint.

What's 'NVI' Dave?

Assuming V is for Vibration maybe..
