    I used turtle wax headlight restorer on the weekend $29 at super cheap,I thought i had destroyed the lens until i put the last coat on definatly works wonders

    I did my wife's Honda Jazz last weekend with Autosol metal polish , then polished with Plexus Perspex cleaner /protector.
    Cost nothing as I had both.
    Result was excellent.

    Had a tip from a mechanic mate of mine today ... fly spray. Yep, spray it on, leave it for a couple of minutes and then wipe off.
