Thread: How to minimize dead bugs on windscreen?

    Thanks for the suggestions. I think because the windscreen is almost 90 degrees the bugs are less likely to bounce off and more likely to go splat. Trucks have similar windscreens surely there is a secret to it.

    lots of truckies use mr sheen... or the cheaper version from aldi

    To remove bugs once they've set... Hydrogen Peroxide.

    Does no damage to window rubbers etc... Buy it from the Chemist


    To make bugs easy to remove in general use... RainX. Available from any Auto shop.

    I'm with Tombie on treating the windscreen with RainX first. After that you can do the windex trick as it makes it much easier to remove bugs.

    yes and many of them use bug deflectors

    RainX could help I guess. Might give it a shot. That with the bonnet protector might make a difference.

    You can buy rainx window cleaner now. Does two jobs in one and is quite effective.
