    Help Damaged ECM

I have damaged the circuit board trying to install a remap chip in my TD5 aaaaargh.
I have a spare from a similar year, is it possible to use this and if so what process do I have to follow? I have a Hawkeye.

Hi, first go into EMS - programming - immobiliser and follow the steps as to get the message that the security code was learned then in the injectors menu insert the injector codes, if you dont know them you have to remove the rocker cover and read them from the solenoids

you said it's the same year but it was the same transmission?, is yor's manual or auto...what are the part numbers of the original and replacement ECMs?

for throttle the driver demand must be set the same like the first one(2 or 3 track) for M+S usually the setting is in BCU for maunal or auto

After programming shut down the car, unplug
Lock, wait for 60 seconds and restart

so the 101340 was removed from a Eu3 modell while your's is Eu2 i think , in EMS programming you'll find the driver demand, set it to 2 track(or way i can't remember exactly) then the MIL and M+S should go away and you can drive it

    SHE LIVES!!!!!!!!

Thankyou very much Sierrafery, I don't know what the EU3 ECM was doing in my spare 2001 Discovery, must have been a replacement unless the changeover was earlier than I thought.

Following these steps it now runs very very smoothly, leading me to believe that the injector codes were not re-entered after work was done on the head and the injectors had been mixed up prior to my purchase 9 years ago. It may be worthwhile if you have access to a Nanocom or Hawkeye to re-enter the injector codes, particularly if you know work has been done on the head that necessitated the removal of the injectors.
