    Speedo

    Hi all ,

    I am away from home& can't find any info. 2000 td5 auto .My speedo is stopping & starting - is it cable or electric? Anything to do with xyz switch?

    they are electronic and read off the abs sensors

    Electric speedo. Feed comes from ECU / (BCU ?) Averages the input from the 4 ABS sensors and the auto to calculate speed.

    Well - that doesn't sound good!!! Maybe I need to clean / check out the ecu cables for oil from the injector loom
