    Overrun vibration

    Gday Fellas,
Ive got a weird vibration which seems to be coming from the passenger side front wheel area. It only happens when i take my foot off the accelerator when Im cruising to a stop...
Its only started happening since I changed the oil in the auto trans last week, but this might be a coincidence. Another coincidence is that the CV boot on said wheel has split, however, its still packed with grease.
    Any help appreciated.

    Ball Joints

I think checking the ball joints would be a good place to start. Also do you notice any unusual noises that comes with the vibration?

Thanks, ill get under and check as much as I can...
It feels like the passenger side front wheel has driven over one of those ripple strips you find on the side of a motorway to let you know youve driven outta your lane...not as violent though.

Bit of an update...Ive just removed the front drive shaft and gone for a spin without it and the vibration has gone. Ive had a look at the unis on the both end and it looks like one of the unis is cactus on the double cardon side. I'll get a uni joint kit and rebuild the joints on the shaft and let you know the outcome.

Just to be sure measure the cap holes are round. They can stretch and no matter what you do they won't fit back in. Also the centre ball should be replaced.

Or just buy a Tom Woods shaft from jeep konnection and never worry again

Ok...I rebuilt the front drive shaft this weekend with a kit thanks to Mario at Roverlord - got me the parts very fast and a great bloke to deal with.
Now the shaft moves freely and there is no more vibrations.*Messy job but a good job out of the way!
