What is this and were does it go?

I'd ask REPCO but something tells me they'd have NFI.

If someone could identify where on a TD5 Disco this item is meant to go I'd very much appreciate it.

    Please see attached pictures.

Are you working on the head?
Looks to me like the bolt for the timing guide.
It fits just bellow and to the side of the cam plug if it is.
    Cheers, Kyle

I'm almost finished rebuilding my engine. But seen this and it looked important.
What do you mean by cam plug? The Walsh plug or oil seal? Do I have to take the timing cover back off?

I just copied this over from a head removal thread.(http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-t...val-how-2.html)
    Bottom right hand circled area
If I'm right it secures through the fixed chain guide.

    Cheers, Kyle

Thanks heaps. I was just going back though some pictures I took before pulling the motor apart.

You're spot on about going through the timing chain tensioner.
