Get onto TRS in Adelaide.
For around $600 they will deliver a new ecu with the chip soldered in and you simply send the old one back to them.
Simples
You will need a Nanocom though ...
Does anyone know who or if any one in or near Canberra re chips ecu's for TD5's. I have the 1999 disco so it needs the chip soldered in.
Any help would be awesome otherwise i'll be driving it up to Sydney

Have you tried Roverworks in Mitchell? They may be able to do it for you..
There are a lot better options out there, I learnt the expensive way after I found the product not to be as described.
I'd recommend the OP talk to td5inside in Portugal. They do MSB chips, or you can convert to an NNN ecu with an EU2 base map (which is what I have done). Jose will do a custom map to suit your car, it will not be a "one size fits all" job.
My re-chipped TRS ECU has been in for 3-4 years and is exactly as described. The "stage1" re-map and is perfect for what I need ... more towing power. I've compared mine to a Davis Performance chipped Td5 of the same era and there's no noticeable difference.
Sure there's other options ... but the TRS one is a cheap, solution to his "Out of Canberra" problem.
Plenty of options for varying budgets and performance outcomes on this forum. I'm sure there's a solution to suit.
Do you run an egt gauge or larger intercooler?
And the trs tunes are identical to the dpl ones so you wouldn't see a difference would you?

TRS Chip, no problems, very happy with the results.
Plug it in, set the codes & off ya go
I dont see the point of having to pay for a NNN ecu to replace MSB just so it's re-writable, then your map price on top plus A noncom to write to it.
Once it's chipped it does the same, unless you are going to keep stuffing around with different maps $$$

As Muppet asked...
Are you running an EGT gauge or Aftermarket IC...???
It has come to light recently that some vehicles are running very hot (EGT wise)
