    D2 Full Screen Navigation Consol

    Hi All,

    While browsing eBay I came across a D2 sales brochure featuring a pic of a roof console for a navigation screen. Has anyone seen one in Oz? or have a part no# handy?

    Refer to first pic on the left in the attachment below.

    More pics. They were standard on a "Metropolis" UK model D2.

    My D2a HSE has the rear screen for the back seat passengers factory fitted (or maybe dealer fitted?) but it's a different model to that and is DVD player under the front passenger seat, no navigation.

    It was fitted locally by the vehicle processing centre. It's a Eurovox system IIRC.

    I'm familiar with the rear dvd setup but I would love to get my hands on the front console which mounts a screen. Perfect for not only navigation, but reverse cam, car pc or AV screen would be just a few potential uses.

    They're crazy rear according to the UK forum I'm on. Attract big prices.
    That said....wouldn't be hard to cad one up and 3D print....

    Thanks for your replies guys.

    Yep, unfortunately it looks like these consoles are quite rare.

    I'm now heading toward the idea of mounting a GPS unit flush on the middle of the overhead console and access power from behind. Might even consider a wireless reverse camera add on.

    I like the idea of the single din android flip out system but I picked up a top of the range Sony Wireless/Blutooth/handsfree unit on clearance not long ago. It had the option of changing the illumination to green to match the dash and the price was too good to pass on.
