Gear lever hangs to the left.
On yet another Td5 I have looked at, the gear lever rests at the far ledft of travel, not between the 3rd and 4th gates. Is this something easy to adjust? (code for cheapish at a mechanic) or does this indicate possible harder issues?
Thanks
Bo

Sounds like it Could be your bias plate is twisted and the springs are forcing lever to sit to the left.
Common problem as the bias plate that the springs press against are only a angled bit of pressed metal.
Easy fix, if it is twisted and torn at the bottom, Straighten it up and then you can run a bead of weld along it to strengthen it .
When the plate gets real bad it will make gear changing difficult as it misses the "gates"
Cheers,
Mario
