Question Can 3 amigos be 'park brake', TC, abs lights?????

    Hi,

New Landry owner as just bought a 03 disco 2 td5 yesterday.

All looked good on the test drives however while pulling up to a red light today I heard like 3 beeps then noticed the 3 lights on the dash. After turning the car off and on again they do go away but it happened twice today.

I know of the 3 amigos However.....

The hand break light was on instead of the down hill descent

So, I guess I'm trying to find out if it is the 3 amigo problem or something else

    Can anyone help please

    Regards,

    Marc

Hi, according to the original protocol the red brake warning light(it's not only for handbrake) should be part of the 3 amigos(actually 4) all the time but in reality it's not, the SLABS used to make tricks in this area... i've seen 4 amigos not once(they come usually for sensor open or short circuit faults) and other kind of combinations like yours too as well, first of all make sure you have brake fluid in the reservoir to make sure that the red warning is not triggered by low fluid then watch carefully if you see the amber HDC light on ignition self test... anyway what ever you do the only certain way to find easily the issue is by plugging in a tester

    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
