    ZF 4HP 22 auto trans - simple question!

    Howdy. Can anyone tell me when the 4HP22 auto gearbox was changed from hydraulic to electronic in the D2 ie at the beginning, or at the D2a upgrade, or?

    Were they all electronic in the P38a - 95 onwards ?

    If they were 4HP24 as opposed to 22, then yes, all electronic, or so I'm told by a guru?

    4ltr is 4hp22 so i would have thought they would be ecu controlled as well ?

    Yes all gems 4.0 p38 from 1995 were 4hp22e. 4.6 were 4hp24e. All d2 were 4hp22e. Diesel and petrol.

    The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
