Probably not as you will need to jack the engine up to remove the old mounts and fit the new ones.

X2 and do the drivers side mount first and leave the top nut loose until you have installed the passenger side as it allows you more movement to get the passenger side out

Thanks guys. I am using an engine crane that I have laying around. I think that will help me as I only have a crappy Super Cheap small trolley jack.
On second thoughts I now realize that most of the work is done from the top and ramps make it really hard to get at the job.
I do mine on Saturday and my mates next week.
We will both help each other.

I have an engine crane as well but it is easier with a trolley jack and a block of wood ( I have done a few for customers )

    engine mounts.

I have had a few days to get my back and ageing body back together after the mounting of the mountings.
I would just like to thank all of you who advised me on the job. Especially
Outback1 for the advice of using a jack and not the engine crane . Belive it or not I ended up using the rover jack and a block of wood. The trolley jack was troublesome to get between the steering arms etc.
I did loosen the metal cross pipe .
What was difficult was getting at nuts on the mountings on the left side.
Also the bottom bolts on the fuel cooler were a perfect sod to get at, on and off.
Now I have got some sanity back it is time to do my mates D2 this coming Saturday and loose that sanity again!
    Cheers all Nick.
