    D2 maintenance schedule.

Hello, I'm planning on giving my d2 a service and I'm looking at a copy of the D2 maintenance schedule. It has 160k in the box "renew front and rear axle oil" does that mean it only gets changed every 160k?

    Thanks

    Julian

I've got the check list, from this forum. It's the 160k in the check box, does it really mean every 160k kilometres? between changing the axle oil? I'm guessing that's the diff oil. That's a long time between oil changes.

    Chers

After some research, it is every 160,000km. I might do it sooner.
The full flow oil filter needs changing every 120,000km. I'm sure most people here change it with the oil, every 20,000km if not sooner.

    Cheers

If you run through creeks I'd be checking fairly regularly.
Is there a "Harsh environment" number?

I haven't ran through any creeks as yet, only got the car in August
I'll give them a look see on the weekend.

    I haven't seen a harsh environment number.

For the cost of the oil its probably worth doing anyway

naturally you need to buy 3 1litre bottles to do two diffs

    On mine I do:

    Oil at 12k
    Main filter every service
    Centrifugal every 2nd
    Fuel filter every 2nd
    Air filter every service.
    Diffs and xfer at 35-40k
Auto I have previously done at 40k but I'm going to start doing a partial swap at 20k so I keep clean fluid circulating.
    Grease props every 6k.
Check tyres, brakes, etc every service.
