Think around 4.2 bar normal / unladen
around 6.5 bar full height / laden .
Hi Guys, I now you D2 guys guys are experts on this subject
Does anyone know what pressure typically their rear air suspension is running at?
I remember one of my cars had air ride shockers, and they rarely went above 80 psi carrying a heavy load.
Say for disco 2 or P38 Rangy do you know the rear suspension pressures for
i) light load running around town. ?(low pressure)
ii) reasonably load highway driving? ( middle pressure)
iii) Loaded close to GVM and used offroad, needing ground clearance? ( highish pressure).
I have a compressor in my car that cuts in at 6 bar and cuts out about 8 bar. I'm thinking those rear air bags seem to be a big diameter, so are not likely to need more than 8 bar.
Thanks for your advice simmo

Mine are around the 70-80psi mark as it sits in the driveway. That's with all my accessories, stuff in the vehicle and the lift.

Thanks guys for your responses, good info. I'm investigating air bag suspension on the rear axle, and would like to use similar parts to D 2 for ease of replacement in the event of failure. D2 & P38 are very competent off road, so if my car has the same capability I'll be happy, I don't need extreme wheel travel etc. I do need to be able to put my car under the house though to keep it out of the weather. Currently it won't fit, short term I can let the back tires down a bit to drop it a couple of inches. cheers simmo.
