    Enjoy

i tried ur method as I could figure out the other one suggested and when I got to around 1.37 acceleration seemed to be worse and not so responsive any ideas on why? thanks again

Go to engine, then fuel settings and you can find the actual boost pressure in there, which will not be affected by outside pressure, the number you are looking for is under 245kpa which is the point overboost kicks in.

Make sure all other sensors are correctly functioning before you increase boost though

    hey joe

I'm probably asking a bit much but do u think u could give me a bit more of a detailed description of what to do and look for. ie, in nanocom is it called what is the boost presure called etc. If to much effort no probs. i'll keep researching. havent found any real detailed how to forum yet. cheers

All good mate, bit drunk but bear with me.

Plug in your nanocom, on start up go to your marque, then td5, then engine then fuel mapping. This is all from memory. Second or maybe third slide there will be am aap measurement, that is the number you are looking for.

My mobile number is 0406067000 if you have questions, just call me early tomorrow, I have been drinking for a while now!

Hahaha nice! i'm in te same boat mate. coopers green tonight I may take u up on the call see how I go tonight with the tweaks. AULRO is great. been lovin the convo's. So with ur suggestions should i be touching the waste gate, extending or shortening etc to get the right pressures? I'm such a rookie and only know a bit about cars because I have now owned 3 disco's (lots of time fixing things).

Hi , been internet free for a couple of days
You may have got it sorted by now but to answer your question, there can be a few reasons why , but assuming your Maf reads around 55-60 at idle to > 600 at full throttle high revs , aap sensor reads around 100 at sea level , your map sensor is reading correct boost / inlet air temp
,then it can depend on the level of tweaking / fuel increase etc you have on your modified ecu ,there will be a sweet spot re boost pressure and fuel map in the same way you need to get the correct stochiometric ratios for performance in a petrol ie you may be feeding too much air / boost at 1.37 bar and leaning it out too much, try coming back / lengthening the rod by one turn. By the way the reading you see in instrument mode on nanocom is just the combined calculated readings between atmospheric pressure/ temperature and boost, so now realising where you live is up in the sky if you set the level of boost at say 2000 metres on a hot day then travel down to sea level on a cold day then you will probably get over boost,
    Cheers

Question all the gear but NO idea...

    Hey guys
So when I last chatted it seemed i had my car running well, I adjusted the boost gauge to a setting that seemed good but once i drove a few more times i felt like i should tweak it more. After more tweaking i have lost the original position of the wastegate arm nut and my power is, well, ****. I have looked everywhere on the net for help but I just can't get it right. I have an egt gauge so have been watching the temps to make sure im not running the car too hot, but the egts and water temp etc all are above average temps. I really want to figure this out without a mechanic as owning a dissco I need to know how to fix everything, cause someday everything will need fixing...
Anyway again, any help wwould be great! Thanks heaps . Also through all the questions at me u got
