Thread: Gasket for TGR blanking plate

Hi all,
Blanked off the EGR (not TGR - type in the title!) system a few years ago, and the plate on the exhaust manifold end has developed a leak. It's got a metal gasket it on it, which the kit came with.

However, I'm wondering whether I might be better off using a liquid gasket to seal the plate, a copper based high temperature material.

Any suggestions as to what people have done that works?

When mine leaked I put some muffler past on either side of the metal gasket and bolted everything together. Worked for me.
