    Any suggestions?
Probably just the brake pedal switch has jumped out of its bracket.

I suspect it is the plug for the headlight height control switch.

The connector that you've found is C0670, which is for the Shift Interlock fitted to NAS and Japanese vehicles -

There's a few useful circuits available on that connector -

The two Purple wires (C0670-4 and C0670-7) are both permanent lives from the interior light circuit, from F20 (15 Amps)

The Purple with Black trace (C0670-5) is a permanent live from F21 (15 Amps)

The Purple with Blue trace (C670-8) is the BCU controlled earth that automatically turns on and fades out the interior lights when the doors are opened or closed, or the igniton key is turned on or off.

The other wires are BCU controlled circuits associated with the Shift Interlock and are of no use for any other purpose.

Using a mating 8-way male connector to connect to the permanent lives and BCU controlled earth in C0670, makes this ideal place to connect additional interior lights or puddle lights.

Here in the UK, I sell the mating 8-way connector, with 4 x male terminals.

But, as I'm not a trader on here, and the cost of postage from the UK to Australia is quite expensive, I'll post up the details of the mating connector, and where you can source it in Australia.

The mating connector for C0670 is a TE Connectivity (AMP) Multilock 070 8-way male connector.

    TE part number = 174931-1

    174931-1 | 8-way Multilock 070 2-row cap housing | TE Connectivity

    .

You will also need 4 x male terminals.

    TE part number = 175030-1

175030-1 | Crimp Pin Connector, Male, Crimp, Tin Plating 20 → 16 AWG | TE Connectivity

Thanks for that. You've actually given out some very useful info.

    Cheers and Merry Christmas.
