    Sounds like you took it to a "replacement man" instead of a "repair man" Sadly they are a proliferating breed nowadays.

    I think you might be right about that,but when i don't know much about engines you have to trust, i have had work done on my disco by an expert and he charged $200 for a part that you can buy off ebay for around $60 told me the $60 would be **** , was told the same about front wheel hubs, so i took it might be the same with a new starter motor,
    Its up and running and that's the main thing
