Auto Electrician: D2 Battery Harness Positive Terminal What Thread Is It?

On the D2 positive battery terminal the harness clamp has a threaded hole, what type of thread is it? I tried an 8mm bolt but it was not the correct thread as it will not go more than a turn or so before it binds. Unless I find a matching thread I'll have to resort to re tapping it.

Assuming the 8mm bolt approximates the thread diameter it will probably be 5/16" Whitworth or UNC (same pitch, slightly different thread angle). This thread size is 7.8mm in OD.
