I have a 2002 and a 2003 Discovery. One being a Discovery 2 and other 2a.
They have different rims. Apart from cosmetics is there any difference???
They 2002 has the better tyres, so was just going to swap rims and tyres over. Or am I better off spending the money at a tire shop in swapping them over?
I am keeping the 2003 vehicle and dismantling the 2002 model
I'm guessing that they are 16" rims in which case there would be no difference. Standard rim width is 7", but the 2004 runout, country classic model had 16x8 rims. There were also 18" rims on the high spec models.
I like the D2a ones, but if they where 18 inch I would have not bothered. Its going to cost me a few hundred dollars to have a tyre place swap them offer.
Will have to see how money and times goes when I am back in Melbourne.
You should be able to get tyres swapped for about $25 per tyre, so you'd get out of it for $125 or so if you find a decent tyre shop that won't rip you off...
