Thread: Rim Differences

I'm guessing that they are 16" rims in which case there would be no difference. Standard rim width is 7", but the 2004 runout, country classic model had 16x8 rims. There were also 18" rims on the high spec models.

They are different in appearance. But being 4000kms from both vehicles, I cant check.

Mech said just swap them rim and tyre over.

I like the D2a rims better, there is a subtle difference.

The ones on the D2a look like 18's,the others are definitely 16".

Both have same overall diameter and both will fit either vehicle.

Tyres will not interchange if one is 16" and other is 18" obviously.

If you want to do off road stuff,you are much better off with the 16"s.They are also cheaper and will last longer.

The D2a 'classic country' came with 16" rims while the 'Town ciassic' came standard with 18's.

Not all D2a's were classics,difficult to see in the pic if it is a classic.

These were D2a runout models.

Think for memory it has S on the side.....

So seems even if it does have 18 inch rims, I am better of with the 16 inch rims. It will see action offroad being in the NT....

Both are 16x7", both are +57mm offset. Identical in every way, bar design.

The ones on the D2 are known as 'Polar', the ones on the D2a are 'G4 style'.

I like the D2a ones, but if they where 18 inch I would have not bothered. Its going to cost me a few hundred dollars to have a tyre place swap them offer.

Will have to see how money and times goes when I am back in Melbourne.

Hole in spoke rims on the 2003 D2a were standard for the S model (7 seats)

The rims on the d2 were standard on the 5 seat 2003 model (no hole in spokes).
