Excuse me the Hijacking: it would be great when you could tell more about the ATG-Mods! Or are there pictures about the additional cooler? Many thanks and excuse again!

Gav,
I'm assuming "3T" aint the model of your house on wheel but the tonnage??
So apart from the fact I know, that you know that your Disco aint a light Isuzu truck, yet you want to keep pulling 3T round all day long :P (hey its something you D2 owners seem to want to do).
add to that the large tyre size, EGT blanking, etc etc and it is all working reasonably hard...
Rather than getting too carried away with re-engineering your D2 (more than you already have) lets look at next week sometime to go over the basics such as giving it a pressure test and have a look at thermostat, viscous fan, etc etc, (hell we could even throw on some stock wheels/tyres, just to see the difference if any).
oh but hang on.... I thought the "mighty Range Rover Classic (TD5)" was going to pull the ...... house on wheels??
(side note: as Gav is a regular customer (most appreciated), he does know what a blunt arse I can be at times...)
Regards
Daz
Welcome back Darren. And I can be just as blunt in return - and that's the way it should be!
My PM to you earlier today was to alert you that I wanted to do just that - start with the basics as outlined by the good folk on this forum and see where we go/end up and report back. Funny about that, all the experts are singing a similar song!
I accept that there are a few contributing factors here for hotter running, but not to the extent I've just experienced, plus I drive like a nanny, as Blknight alluded to. However, I've also owned and driven heavy vehicles for much of my working life, so not a complete noob!
It has always been my preferred option to have the RRC as an alternative tow vehicle, but not until I'm satisfied with its degree of reliability, and that has yet to happen. Watch this space.

At the risk of highjacking my own thread, this was originally my round the paddock intended wheels over 10 years ago, but a certain lady didn't like them.

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
My opinion on that setup is that it sounds well done.
But, for that type of work that it's doing, my thoughts are that it should be pulling on the upgraded intercooler only unless Jose can assure you the EGT's absolutely can not go over standard with the stand alone remap, especially considering you are well and truly pushing beyond the design parameters of the vehicle. The ECU will drive engine temps up, EGT etc and then rely on the intercooler to bring them back down again, but at 37 degrees the fat in the system is well and truly gone and that intercooler isn't working like it should (AND its also trying to work from behind the AC condensor). Also, with less temperature differential the radiators are not as effective either and cant give up as much heat as what they probably need to. That said, I did hear years ago that Australia has hot climate spec deliveries and the TD5 does run well enough with a mostly blocked coolant radiator also, but those conditions are a different ball game.
BTW, I'd also replace the thermostat with a standard temperature one, the motor needs to run at those temps.
Cheers

Good point/s about thermostat etc - will be first points to check.
Normal running, Nanocom says 88 - 92.
Bigger ATF cooler is located at the front - done by the local gurus Auto Trans R Us, including relocating some struts in the D2a. Was assured would not affect cooling, and these guys know their onions.
_______________
Just a few points.
My 2002 runs at 85 c on 41c day on the flat up to 92 on steep hills, with an original 2002 radiator.
I presume you mean 88- 92 not towing.
I have fitted a mesh grille and I am pretty sure it knocks 2-4 c from the temps.
On a 28 c day it runs at 79!
Have you got any driving lights etc on the front? If so lose em.
Otherwise agree with other comments, you are really pushing.
Have you thought of a water spray for the intercooler for hills?

I did look at this, and TC ratios before the 4.6 rebuild. In hindsite would have been a lot cheaper!!
I think the biggest advantage of the lower diffs is the lockup speed,,
that and the added overtaking acceleration
Late edit.
I do, and have always thought spotties in front of the rad was foolish.
maybe ok when not towing,, but as Blknight said,,
theres very little fat at 3T
