    D2 Bottle Jack Replacement

Hi All,just bought a D2 and there was no jack. Is it best to hunt for an original from a wreckers or is there an aftermarket jack that fits well into the original's under-bonnet spot?

I'd probably go original,, just make sure it works and doesnt leak/is full of oil.
These can be rekitted, you couldnt be sure about anything non-genuine.

    is the rubber strap there?

Mine was bent when I got it, and I was able to get one on eBay from jaguar rover spares in Melbourne for a good price.

I recently bought a CDL linkage from them and again found them good to deal with.

Btw I was able to resurrect my bent one with a couple of orings and a file, but be careful as the seal in the primary cylinder is unobtainium.

But IMHO they are good jacks.

    Regards Philip A
Correect name is jag prestige spares and they have an eBay store, but better to phone them.
