Clicking? Sounds like CV joints.
Could easily be the pump. Is it a whirry/whiney/grindy noise?
If you turn the wheel when stationary, does it have a lumpy feel in the wheel?
Should be smooth as silk feel when turning at the wheel.
Only other reason I can think of noisy when turn the wheel is low PS fluid level.
it could be, my power steering pump/everything is suss LOL. fluid all good though.
The noise can be felt through the floor. It is not a CV type click. Gosh I really do not know how to explain it. It doesn't get worse if wheel turned more for sharper corners, is worse turning to left than right. It also changes sound the faster the car goes.(Noise gets faster)Disappears when wheel straight. I can hear a bit of a squeak type thing that goes with it if window is down, from underneath somewhere. (now that its all so quiet with new engine mounts) I think I am going to have to take it to PCB to at least have him tell me what it is then go from there as just cannot figure it out. It all seems so solid under there yet is this droning noise and vibration. It kind of sounds like tyre noise but it isn't tyre noise. It isn't obvious enough to video either. I just want to find it, and kill it LOL
I think the propshaft uni joints are ok as this has been unchanged with 2 different propshafts on it. I have a heap of pics am about to upload LOL. There is oil everywhere, am going to clean up underneath everything and then see what oil comes from where and get a clearer picture of all uni joints and ball joints. Hard to see them all caked in stuff. I am keeping driving to an absolute minimum but unfortunately, still need to drive it a little bit, I cannot drive other cars by law. And cannot catch public transport (can when my new wheelchair is here, but then still would have to drive to where public transport is as live rural LOL)
I honestly have no idea why there is oil everywhere, I check my oil every week and it never changes! yet it is everywhere LOL. Turbo is probably tired though as everything is so old. Looks like leaking out of the diff there though, so need to check diff oil level as that could be low and contribute to this issue. Gosh has been a long time since used photobucket!

Yes , could be front diff , the leak could be a symptom ( spider gears , crown wheel bolts loose etc ) , remove front shaft and with 1 wheel off the ground check how much freeplay the flange has as well as feeling for any roughness when turning . If yours has the centre diff lock internals lock it and go for another short drive without prop shaft ( it'll feel a bit different to drive ) to see if things improve.
IMHO not the diff pinion seal as the top of the diff would be dry.
Maybe the front camshaft plug, maybe the FPR.
The bolt head being sort of clean underneath could indicate FPR.
Maybe and in hindsight most probably just the back of the rocker cover, maybe plus FPR.

That's a lot of maybes Philip, and it looks as plain as day like a pinion seal leak to me, I could always be wrong , sometimes hard to tell from pics.
A few more maybes!
Maybe I'd like to help get the issue that the OP actually posted about sorted
Maybe servicing / repairing / diagnosing Landies / Rangies for decades has left me unable to diagnose the simple things
Or maybe I've just had a bad day, having to rebuild a transfer case and partly rebuild an injector pump that was sent to me from a previously trusted source apparently ready to go in ....... oh well Tomorrow's another day
Thank you :) I will do that and see what happens. I did manage to give the under body a clean today to help find leaks. My engine oil is still full, have not checked diff oil levels yet. I'm waiting for assistance into shop to get some diff oil as my supplies did not move house with me recently (Cannot wait for my new wheelchair to be able to run these errands on my own again [emoji38])
