G'day Guys I'm installing a light bar on my Disco2 I need to connect through the high beam . I have a 4 pole relay and a Rocker switch in the cab. I need a simply wiring diagram to include the switch in the cab and high beam .
The switch is a Narva 63123BL Termianals are 8,7 are ground, 2 is power ,
3 Acc, and 6 Dash light.
Relay terminal 30 Input,85 ground,86 switch input,87 output .
I don't have a diagram, but all you need to do is grab your switch supply from the high beam supply - just T it off anywhere convenient. This goes through your new switch (input pin 2, output pin 3) to the 86 terminal on the relay. The 30 terminal is a supply from the battery (or any decent supply point e.g. starter motor). Terminal 87 goes to your light bar. Terminal 85 is ground for the switching circuit.
You'll need decent gauge wire for the run from battery (or wherever you choose to supply from) to terminal 86, 87 to light bar and light bar to earth. Everything else can be a small gauge.
As per what Dervish said but in a drawing. Hope it makes sense.
David
One note:
You only need to connect terminal 6 on the switch if you want to light up the switch when your dash lights come on - the other light in the switch will come on when you turn the switch on.

Reason: Re-read Dervish's post (properly)
Everything is easy when someone else is doing it
MY14 SDV6 SE Corris Grey
Compomotive 18s : D697s : Traxide DBS : LLAMS : ARB compressor : IC-455
Rhino Platform : GOE compressor, Tx & front bash plates, deluxe sliders
Thanks for the info , I'll put it all together in the next couple of days. It's all going in a new Dash console along with a UHF and some power outlets I'll post some pics when completed. Thanks again Dervish as well.
All new to this.
Regards
I cheated and piggy backed off one of the high beam blade fuses under the dash. I'll have to double check which one. Worked out easier then splicing the +Ve highbeam wire and running it to the switch.
Found some pics of how I wired it up using the piggy backed fuse as the 12v high beam source. PM me your email address if you would like me to send them to you.
Hi Dare 2, Good luck on wiring in your Light Bar. I was looking at your pictures and there doesn't look to be enough space around your fridge for airflow. If you look at many other install jobs you will notice there is a lot of room around the fridge for this reason, with more air flow your fridge will run more efficiently and is less likely to to burn out fans and things.
Just wanted to let you know in case you were not aware. It is a great looking D2 by the way.
