    ECU Swap

Got an NNN ecu of my mate. He said its been remap by LRA.

Anyone know the steps to swap the ecu? Transferring any settings on the original ecu onto a new one?

    Thanks

Read on net It just needs to write the injoctors numbers as the old one and security key. Tried to enter the old code into a new one but the last letter and number do not saved. It keeps changing to different lettter or number.

Only happen on 2nd and 4th injectors only. Any reason why? Is that ok to start it?

Happy to be corrected but i dont think the map will work with your engine , you would need to read your original ecu to get codes and then have that map altered for new ecu.

Do you mean injector code from original ecu? If it is yes I can get the code from nanocom.

You'll get it to run but if you have a 10 p engine and the nnn was previously in a 15 or 16 p engine then the mapping will be wrong , the aap will read that you are below sea level for one as well as not allowing for different inj pressures, and a few other bits that can be altered through ( td5 inside .)
Don't worry about last letter number on inj codes as they can mean the same , eg 1 = e or o

    How can you tell 10p , 15p or 16p engine? Its off 2001 td5. Mine is 2000 td5.

Can I check this on nancom whether its 10p,15p or 16p?

You will also have 3 wires going to the aap sensor rather than the 4 wires of the 15/16 p

I will check the aap wire tomorrow.

With the injector code after I write
    Injector 1: NCNFM
    injector 2: LDNFF
    Injector 3: NMLLM
    Injector 4: LFFLF
    Injector 5: LDNMM

And exit and come back to read the code the last letter of injector 2 and 4 changed both M. Is that ok?
