After almost 180k it was time to do the suspension.
Got a set of std height king springs for the front and blistein shocks front and back fitted. Ride is significantly better now. [bigsmile1][bigsmile1][bigsmile1]

Got Gary back from the Specialist.
Top end overhaul
Head gasket done
New fuel block
Upgraded exhaust manifold studs
Other bits and bobs.
Then we went to the custom seat cover place and got him fitted with some very nice brown canvas covers up front.
Then I drove all the way home with the windows down listening to that Td5 rattle with a stupid grin on my face and didn't feel bad at all about how much it cost by the time I pulled in the driveway.
This weekend is Easter prep will be installing:
Howling Moon roof tent
Foxwing awning
CB Radio
Gas bottle holders onto roof rack
LED light system for inside tent and under awning.
Bit more work on wiring in the EMS2, just need to mount it in the Mud Pod now.
Loosened the alternator to fit the hose to the timing cover, torqued up the bellhousing bolts, a few more small jobs getting it back together [emoji1303]
Google mad man ems2. 😜
Thought I'd better start the old girl, she'd been sitting for month.
- First thing she'd would unlock
- had to unlock with the key
- then she'd wouldn't start (flat main battery)
- went off to the shed to find some wire so i could bridge the AUX solenoid
- She started yeh took a few cranks though[biggrin] (I'm glad this worked as the jumper lead was in the back behind the cargo barrier and the rear door wouldn't open)
So i took her for a 15min drive to charge the battery and noticed the trailer icon now flashers with the indicator (must be some extra resistance in circuit some where) I'll take for a longer drive this arvo up to Mount St. Leonard.
