I took my D2a out to the back blocks and the beach yesterday and she behaved perfectly.
No problems whatsoever and now that I have removed all the excess weight she behaved like a bloody sports car
The "permagrin" was plastered all over my face

I built my own rear bar n spent hours fitting the rev sensors which turned out a total pia waste of time as they get triggered by the jerry can holder. Pity cause it looks the goods🙄
Also fitted reverse camera which is the best approach by far.
Now to get rid of the annoying sensor beeping!

I fitted a new 82c thermostat today and tested it by letting the truck idle for about 20 min and it only reached 84c-85c where usually it would be more like 94c-95c
I had to go to town to get a new dunny and basin for the bathroom that had fallen into disrepair whilst we were away (bastard white ants) so I decided to give the old girl a fair bit of right boot to see how hot I could get her.
She sat on 84c-85c at 100kph-110kph but got to 88c-89c when I really put the boot in for about 10k's.
It was only 32c ambient But the new thermostat seems to be keeping her much cooler which makes me Very happy indeed and I may just reinstate her towing/touring privileges.
By far this has been the easiest and best mod I have done to the 4l V8 to date, Bloody marvelous

SupporterWas checking "leaky" before we went to Adelaide this week and did it again! Literally the "bloody" bonnet curls down at the front corner just nice for digging into the skull every time i straighten up when checking the oil, resulting red fluid loss and it ain't coolant!! Is it just me or do others suffer the same fate?
