Well, it looks like the camshaft cover gasket needs replacing as I can see several drips of oil from that part of the engine.
Alos I noticed this
Attachment 147146 Yep, part of the stud is missing. Attachment 147147 And this was jammed between the A/C compressor and the head.
What shall I fix first? The gasket and the injector harness while I am at it? or the exhaust stud bolt?
Do them all Mate otherwise it will haunt you untill it is all done[thumbsupbig]
....replaced a worm drive clamp with a T-Bolt clamp and "good bye to my boost leak"
Attachment 147152
Dash is in bits atm as I continue the search for the 3 amigos related to low output rear rhs. How can this be since I've put in new genuine hub and sensor and checked all connectors and resistances and voltages are good etc.
Next step is to re wire the circuit and hope the SLABS is not the problem!
Argh...
Just as well I'm time rich☺
I replaced the parking lights with LEDs, swapped the LHS high beam for the main beam. Main beam gone purple. Rubbed al the external black trim bits with Armor All type stuff.
Daughter rang me saying the #@! Disco had locked her in and the alarm was sounding endlessly.
Eventually she got a window down and got out of the car.
The remote would unlock the car but as soon as she put the key in it locked all doors and sounded the alarm.
I figured the remote was probably flat or busted so I headed into town with the spare. As I arrived she had found out the remote lock button had failed probably stuck on. The spare worked fine.
Now for over an hour the car alarm had sounded loudly many times. Where was she parked?
Right outside the Hobart CIB HQ and across the road from the City Police Station.!!
Not once did any any plods come out to check nor did any of the nearby plods heading out to patrol the beat come over and see what was going on eg was she stealing the car?
Clearly everyone knows Discos do this sort of thing all the time ...so no need to investigate a loud car horn alarm right next to plod central☺
Never a dull moment owning a Disco🙄
