I did it a couple of times when I first got my D2a, Now that the truck has "educated" me I no longer do it[thumbsupbig]

I have found that yelling/swearing at a Landrover just makes it more belligerent[bigwhistle]

I still do it even after working on literally hundreds of Discoverys. I will be working on one that has good suspension or a 2" lift and all is fine, the next one will have a sagged suspension and wack!!

Lucky its only my head... so nofin much ere to bees damaraged [tonguewink]

Haven't done it on bros D2 yet ... which is strange considering I spend more time under his bonnet than of my own D1!
But have headbutted my D1 a couple of times.

RRC is the best. Dunno about the later models, but the earlier ones allowed the bonnet to flip back all the way to the screen due to it's external hinges.

i got finally the fill nut open.

now i cant get the drain nut off. my socket is too thick and hitting something,

Socket?
On my D2s(V8) .. both had the 1/2" drive heads. No socket needed, just the wrench.
Does yours have a nut on the drain?

If you can't get a ring spanner in there get an old socket and grind it off so that it will fit[thumbsupbig]

i dont have a 32mm ring spanner. but a spanner would be thin enough

@AK83, yes a 32mm nut for the gearbox drain.
