But not blaming the postie, I actually think there are massive problems at the mail sorting facility which have been going on for years.
Oh the goof old automated sorting system, the legancy of the of old CEP who got paid millions in a hand shake. the system goes on post codes, so I asked why did a parcel go to a wrong state if there i no human intervention, if it goes on postcode then if there are the 3 states with the same suburb then how i it goes by post code does it go to the wrong state. Eg say St Kilda in Vic and St kilda SA. So if I send a parcel to ST KILDA VIC with the right post code how does it end up in St Kilda SA. I argued with them telling them their system is not good or there was human invention with a manual l sorter getting it wrong.

It is incredible, there are some pretty serious problems there which are not being resolved. I've watched parcels just circulate in there for a months, so it seems the scanners do a lot of misreading.

The part finally arrived yesterday. 8 days for a 3.5hr journey at the moment.
    Cheers

    Haha, and so true!
Mario, Remember when you posted a CD to me at my GRANTVILLE, Victoria address, postcode 3984.... It did eventually arrive via OMEO, postcode 3898 and all because there was some other persons (not yours) handwritten comment on the CD mailer directing it to there. Curiously what is now the Grant Historic Area is in the adjacent postcode to that of OMEO.

There is a back log of 1.6 million parcels, a mate drove past one of the distribution centres near Dandenong where you could see the overflow into the area out side of the truck loading docks, in crates, no tarpaulins to protect them from the weather, there is no room under cover. so it it rains some soggy parcels will result , ink runs on labels. its a mess at present. no overtime is allowed for clearing the back log. There more to this but post is conveniently blaming the virus.

Yup. Found that out. My parcel was lost in that muddle for 7 days according to the tracking app. I got a parcel from USA in 3 days. Ordered both items on eBay same day paid same day posted same day. USA parcel 3 days, NSW parcel 9 days.

The trusty D2 passed another rego inspection today. Good for another year. Seems the ball joint boots on the front have cracked, the king pins. He said they will fail in about a years time.

Whats the best replacement for this? Genuine I assume? Should do CV boots at the same time I suppose.
    Cheers

    Yep, Lemforder/genuine.

Mine have been split for three years with no apparent play in the balljoints yet.
I was going to do it while still in Canberra but the mech I knew there there said don't worry until you get play.

Excellent, thanks for this! I might get the parts and then sort it out later on in that case. The mechanic was saying if they do fail that the wheels dont come flying off or anything.
