Something to consider for next time...
Volt gauges are a nice to have whilst boost is a drivers gauge..
Next time put the boost on the right (nearer drivers line of vision)
Another little trick from days of yore, fit your gauges at an angle.
What I mean by that is, if your gauge is set up so that the max of what you want to see is in the 12o'clock position it is very obvious when that preset level has been exceeded without actually having to read the figures.
It's an old trick we used on racing cars where eyes off the road time needed to be kept to a minimum.
It does look a little strange, people will comment about not getting the gauges straight but when they understand the reasoning it's OK.

Mike
I'm not sure what he means mate. Old mate if you have the front drive shaft out and have CDL and lock CDL you will have a rear wheel drive (be gentle on the rubber coupling in this modified state). Cheers
Ozscott I think you may have misunderstood my situation, DC Joint US, front drive shaft out, to try keep mobile I wanted to lock the centre diff and drive rear only. I should be able to do this if the centre diff is working properly.
I am aware of the cars constant 4X4 system and would never try drive on any hard surface with both drive shafts in and diff locked.
To Redback, no the shaft was out as just described but I have a replacement in now but I still need to sus out that centre diff.
Thanks for your inputs.
Mike
Hi Mike. Our posts probably crossed. I worked out what you meant at post number 887. Cheers

SubscriberI tried to post this morning and the posts din't work on my Ipad.
If your CDL light came on then the selector shaft grub screw that holds the selector fork may be loose or have fallen out.
BUT be aware that the CDL is a very coarse dog clutch that may not engage immediately as the teeth may sit on top of each other and need some rotation to drop into mesh.
Did you try to rotate the front flange or just try to engage while stationary?
